Parent workshops are a regular feature of our work and we also have lots of parents who support the school. Regular coffee morning for parents help us get to know how parents are feeling and there is a parent group – ‘The Friends of Reaside’ or PTA - who actively support the school in a multitude of ways. Our Special Education Needs Lead, Family Support Worker, Designated Liaison Person, Learning Mentors, Sports Coach and School Nurse provide enhanced support for pupils’ personal development, behaviour and welfare. These staff members help to ensure the overall health and well-being of all the pupils in the school.
We are proud of the excellent relationships that exist between staff and pupils. Tolerance, respect and understanding are cornerstones for the strong relationships that exist. Parents, Governors and PTA members work in partnership with the Academy, as critical friends, in order to ensure that the young children of our community enjoy the highest standard of education
We are proud to be a community school which is extremely inclusive. We expect nothing less than exemplary pupil behaviour and we very much believe in the Academy motto “Learning and Achieving together”. Values of courtesy, discipline and respect are important to us and we believe that upholding them will help us to achieve results for all at Reaside Academy.
